A Simple Energy Meditation for You

This entire exercise can be done in only 10 or 20 seconds or for several minutes or longer.  It is good to do at least once each day. I like to repeat this connection throughout the day to become more fully present in my body and in my current experience

Start

Start by either sitting or standing with your feet flat on the floor, close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths.

Roots

Then feel, and visualize deep energetic roots, thick like the roots of a tree, shooting down your legs, out your feet and deep into the earth.  This is called grounding and allows the healing earth energy in.  You can picture golden white light coming in from the earth and up through your feet, filling your body.  Enjoy how it feels.

Divine energy

Next, picture the cosmic, universal, God, Goddess, divine, or angel energies (pick a name that resonates with you). This energy coming from above you and in through the crown of your head.  Picture a white golden warm light coming in from the sky, through the top of your head. Allow it to fill your body.  These energies warm and expand your entire body.  Imagine that the warm golden light is bathing all of your cells and bringing them and you exactly what you need. Enjoy how this feels.

Connect

The earth and divine energies connect in your chest at your heart area. They can then come down your arms and out your hands, if you would like.

Your hands can be on yourself wherever your body feels like it needs the attention. They can also just rest on your legs.  Enjoy the expansiveness and warmth of this purposeful flow. Enjoy how the energy feels and enjoy your connection to the earth and the divine.
